    List of Ingredients


    • 3/4 cup ruby port
    • 1/4 cup dry red wine
    • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
    • 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
    • 2 tbsp walnut oil
    • 1 tbsp sugar
    • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
    • 1/2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
    • 1/2 tbsp mild flavored molasses
    • 1/4 tsp onion powder
    • 2 cup mission figs stemmed and cut in half lengthwise
    • 1 5 oz bag of mixed baby greens - 10 cup loosely packed
    • 4 oz Stilton cheese crumbled (about 1 1/4 cups)
    • Salt and pepper to taste


    Instructions


    1. Whisk in first 10 ingredients in a medium bowl to blend. (Dressing can be made ahead - regrigerate)
    2. Bring vinaigrette and figs to simmer in heavy large nonstick skillet over medium high heat.
    3. Simmer until dressing is slightly syrupy - stir occasionally - about 8 minutes.
    4. Cool slightly
    5. Season to taste with salt and pepper
    6. Divide greens among 6 plates. Spirnkle cheese over greens.
    7. Ladle warm dressing and figs over salads ans serve.
