    List of Ingredients


    • 3 - 4 lbs leg of lamb cut into 1 1/2 inch cubes
    • 2 tbsp butter
    • 2 tbsp vegetable oil (like Wesson)
    • 2 1/2 cups water
    • 1/2 cup chicken broth
    • 2 tsp salt
    • 1/4 tsp thyme (crushed)
    • 1/4 tsp fresh ground pepper
    • 2 cloves garlic (crushed)
    • 3 - 4 medium red potatoes scrubed and cut in half
    • 6 -8 small white onions
    • 1 (24oz) package of frozen peas
    • 1/4 lb fresh mushrooms (washed and sliced)
    • 1 cup milk
    • 1/3 cup Ceresota flour


    Instructions


    1. Brown the lamb cubes wi9th butter and oil a large Dutch oven.
    2. Add water, chicken broth and seasonings.
    3. Cover and simmer for one hour
    4. Remove any and all surface fat
    5. Add potatoes and onions, simmer, keep covered - cook until vegetables are done. (around 15 minutes) Add peas and mushrooms at about 8 minutes
    6. Combine milk and flour in a small bowl, stir until smooth.
    7. Add flour mix to the boiling stew and boil for 1 minute.
    8. Correct seasonings
