    Traditional Pumpkin Pie


    List of Ingredients


    • 3/4 cup sugar
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1 3/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice
    • 2 large eggs
    • 1 can (15oz) pure pumpkin
    • 1 can (12 fl oz) Carnation Evaporated Milk
    • 1 unbaked (9 inch) deep dish pie shell


    Instructions


    1. Preheat the oven to 425
    2. Mix together the sugar, salt, pumpkin pie spice mix in a small bowl.
    3. Beat the eggs in a large bowl.
    4. Stir in pumpkin to the eggs.
    5. Stir in the sugar/spice mix to the eggs.
    6. Gradually stir in the evaporated milk, stiring and blending.
    7. Pour into the unbaked pie shell.
    8. Bake at 425 for 15 minutes.
    9. Reduce the temp to 350 and bake for 40 minutes longer or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
    10. Cool on wire rack for at least 2 hours.
    11. Serve after two hours or refrigerate.


    Final Comments


    Serve with whipped cream topping or alone.
