Recipe Introduction


Himmel und Erde means Heaven and Earth in German.





List of Ingredients



• 2 lbs potatoes
  
• 2 lb apples (peeled and diced)
  
• 5 strips bacon (diced)
  
• 1 small onion (diced)
  
• 2 Tbsp vinegar
  
• salt and pepper
  
• 1 tspn sugar
  






Instructions



1. Peel potatoes and cut into small peices.
   
2. Place in a large saucepan and add water to barely cover the potatoes. Cook for 10 minutes.
   
3. Add apples and cook until tender.
   
4. Fry the bacon and add the onions to the frying bacon. Fry until light brown.
   
5. Season the potato and apple mixture with salt, pepper and vinegar.
   
6. Slightly drain the bacon, leave a little fat and pour over the potato mix.
   
7. Serve
