    Recipe Introduction


    Grandma Minnie's family was from Bohemia (Saffert) and she married a Swenson (100% Swede) so she quickly learned to cook Swedish dishes like a Swedish chef! She was a GREAT cook!


    List of Ingredients


    • 10 medium sized (1 1/2 lbs) potatoes
    • 2 tbsp butter
    • 1 1/2 cups Half and Half
    • 1 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1/3 cup finely chopped dill, parsley, chives (any one or a mixture of two or all)


    Instructions


    1. Peel the potatoes and dice into small cubes.
    2. Melt butter into a pan and briefly saute the potatoes.
    3. Pour mil and cream over the potatoes and add salt.
    4. Cover and cook over low heat until the potatoes are soft (about 15 or 20 minutes).
    5. Add finely chopped dill, parsley and/or chives.


    Final Comments


    The recipe then adds - "Excellent with tongue" (I don't think so!!!)
