Recipe Introduction
Grandma Minnie's family was from Bohemia (Saffert) and she married a Swenson (100% Swede) so she quickly learned to cook Swedish dishes like a Swedish chef! She was a GREAT cook!
List of Ingredients
- 10 medium sized (1 1/2 lbs) potatoes
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 1/2 cups Half and Half
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup finely chopped dill, parsley, chives (any one or a mixture of two or all)
Instructions
- Peel the potatoes and dice into small cubes.
- Melt butter into a pan and briefly saute the potatoes.
- Pour mil and cream over the potatoes and add salt.
- Cover and cook over low heat until the potatoes are soft (about 15 or 20 minutes).
- Add finely chopped dill, parsley and/or chives.
Final Comments
The recipe then adds - "Excellent with tongue" (I don't think so!!!)
