Recipe Introduction
This recipe was given to Velda by her mother - it's probably a Swedish recipe.
List of Ingredients
- 2 lbs turnips (cleaned and quartered)
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 4 Tbsp Butter
- 2 Tbsp poppy seeds
- 1 Tbsp parika
- 4 Tbsp red wine vinegar
Instructions
- Salt and pepper the turnips to your taste.
- In a ovenproof saute style pan heat the butter until it's melted.
- Add the turnips and toss to make sure they are all coated with the butter.
- Add the poppy seeds and saute until a light golden color. 9 minutes or so
- Add the parika and toss to coat.
- Add the red wine vinegar and cook until the vinegar is gone (evaporated) - maybe 5 minutes of so.
- Serve
