Recipe Introduction
Annie was the cook on the Krug Ranch before she married Charles in 1900. Her old recipes inspire our ranchhand breakfasts. Like Annie, we bake from scratch for breakfast -- bread, scones, sourdough English muffins. We were lucky to have access to her cookbooks and now use some of her old recipes. Even today's cowboys enjoy:
List of Ingredients
-Mix and resift:
-2 cups cake flour
-4 tsps baking powder
-1 tsp salt
-Add 3 egg yolks
-1-3/4 cups evaporated milk
-1/2 cup oil
-Foil in 3 stiffly beaten egg whites.
Recipe
-Bake in hot oiled waffle iron.
