    All Day Crock Pot Delight
    2-3 lbs. boneless chuck, cut into 1 inch cubes
    1/2 c. flour
    1/4 c. butter
    1 onion, sliced
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 clove garlic, minced
    2 c. beer
    1/4 c. flour
    Coat beef cubes with the 1/2 cup flour. Brown in melted butter. Drain off excess fat. In Crock Pot, combine browned meat with onion, salt, pepper, garlic and beer. Cover and cook on low 5-7 hours (all day) until meat is tender. Turn control to high. Dissolve remaining 1/4 cup flour in small amount of water. Stir into meat mixture, cook on high 30-40 minutes.
    Serve with rice and salad.

    Lasagna
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 onion, chopped
    1/8 tsp. garlic powder
    2-15 oz. cans tomato sauce
    1-6 oz. can tomato paste
    1-1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. dried oregano
    1-12 oz. carton cottage cheese
    1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    12 oz. lasagna noodles, uncooked
    12 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese
    Brown ground beef and onion in skillet. Add garlic powder, tomato sauce, tomato paste, salt and oregano. Cook long enough to get it warm.
    Spoon a layer of meat sauce onto the bottom of the crockpot. Add a double layer of uncooked lasagna noodles (break to fit) and top with cheeses. Repeat with sauce, noodles and cheeses until all are used up.
    Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.

    Saucy Maple Country-Style Ribs
    1 1/2 lbs country-style boneless pork ribs
    1/3 cup maple syrup
    1 tablespoon soy sauce
    2 tablespoons dried minced onion, or use fresh
    1/4 tsp cinnamon
    1/4 tsp ginger
    1/4 tsp allspice
    1/2 tsp garlic powder
    dash of pepper
    Place pork in the crockpot. Combine remaining ingredients; pour over pork. Cover and cook on low for 7 to 9 hours. Recipe by Southernfood.about.com.
    Serves 4.

    Pineapple-Marinated Chops
    6 pork chops
    1 can 20 oz pineapple chunks including juice
    1/4 cup brown sugar
    2 teaspoons soy sauce
    Put pork chops in storage bag; mix remaining ingredients then pour over pork chops in bag. Store in fridge overnight. Put in Crock Pot on low for 6-8 hours till done -- also great barbecued.
    Serves 6.

    All Day Slow Cooker Chicken
    2 tablespoons frozen orange juice
    2 cups chicken stock
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoons pepper
    1/2 cups tomato paste
    2 tablespoons soy sauce
    2 tablespoons brown sugar
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 dash allspice
    Remaining Ingredients
    4 pounds chicken, breasts and thighs
    1/4 pounds mushrooms, sliced
    2 tablespoons margarine or butter
    11 ounces mandarin orange , (1 can)
    sections, drained
    1/2 a medium-large bell
    pepper, sliced lengthwise
    1/4 teaspoons ground ginger
    3 tablespoons cornstarch
    1/4 cups cold milk
    1/4 cups cold water
    The night before you plan on slow cooking your dinner, mix together the marinade ingredients in a large, closable container large enough to also hold the chicken pieces. When marinade is thoroughly mixed, add the chicken, close container and refrigerate until morning.
    In the morning place the chicken in the slow cooker/Crock Pot and add marinade up to about an inch from the top of the container. Set the cooker on low and cover.
    6 to 8 hours later, turn the cooker to high. About an hour later, saute the sliced mushrooms in the margarine or butter. Then add the mushrooms (with pan juices), mandarin sections, green pepper and ginger into the slo cooker and stir thoroughly. Mix together the cornstarch, milk and cold water, then gradually add into the slow cooker while stirring until the entire mixture thickens a bit.
    Re-cover the slow cooker/Crock Pot and let simmer for 15 to 30 minutes unti serving. Serve with baby carrots, new potatoes or veggies of your choice.
    Serves 6.

    Sausage Bean Quickie
    4 to 6 cooked brown 'n serve sausage links, cut into 1-inch pieces
    2 tsp cider vinegar
    2 cans (16 oz. each) red kidney or baked beans, drained
    1 can (7 oz.) pineapple chunks, undrained
    2 tsp brown sugar
    3 tbls flour
    Combine sausage, vinegar, beans and pineapple in Crock-Pot. Mix brown sugar with flour and add; stir well. Cover and cook on Low setting for 4 to 10 hours (not a typo) or on High setting for 1 to 2 hours. 4 servings

    Mexican Pot Beans
    1 pound pinto beans, soaked overnight
    drained
    2 tablespoons lard or bacon drippings
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 tablespoon chopped oregano
    or 1 teaspoon dried oregano
    salt, to taste
    Combine all ingredients, except salt, with 3 cups water in Crock Pot. Cook on high, covered, 2 hours. Turn heat to low and cook, covered, 8 to 10 hours.
    Season with salt and serve with tortillas, chopped onions and chiles, grated cheese, shredded lettuce, radishes.

    Bar-B-Q Pork
    Place pork roast in crockpot.
    Add large onion, sliced and 2 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce.
    Add water to cover.
    Crock on low all day (at least 12 hours).
    Remove roast, discarding cooking water. Save onions.
    Fork-shred pork, discarding any fat and bones.
    Return shredded meat and onions to crockpot.
    Dump a bottle of your favorite barbeque sauce over it and crock an hour or so on low until heated thoroughly.
    Serve on heated buns.
    Excellent! Tried and true, many times over the last 20 years!

    Butterfly Chops & Potatoes
    Southern U.S. Cuisine
    6 or more medium red potatoes, thickly sliced
    1 large onion, quartered and thickly sliced
    4 to 6 boneless, butterflied pork chops
    1 packet Zesty Italian dressing mix (0.6oz)
    salt and pepper to taste
    Toss potatoes and onion with salt and pepper; top with pork chops. Sprinkle chops with dressing mix. Cover and cook on low 7 to 9 hours. (a 4 1/2-quart or larger pot will be necessary for the larger number of chops & potatoes.)
    Serves 4 to 6.

    Slow Cooker Cola Ham
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    1 tsp dry mustard
    1/4 cup cola (Coca Cola®, Dr. Pepper®, etc
    3 to 4 pound pre-cooked ham
    Combine brown sugar and mustard. Moisten with cola to make a smooth paste. Reserve remaining cola. Score the ham with shallow slashes in a diamond pattern. Rub ham with mixture. Place ham in crockpot and add remaining cola. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour, then turn to low and cook for 6 to 7 hours.
    Serves 9 to 12.
    A 5 pound ham could be cooked in a larger crockpot. Cook for 1 hour on high, then 8 to 10 hours on low.

    Pizza Potatoes In Crock Pot
    8 med. potatoes
    2 lg. onions
    1 lb. smoked sausage
    1 tsp. salt
    2 (8 oz.) cans pizza sauce
    Peel potatoes and cut in half, place in crockpot. Cut smoked sausage into pieces and place on top of potatoes. Chop onion. Pour pizza sauce on top, cook in crockpot until potatoes are tender.

    Chili Dogs
    1 pound hot dogs
    1 large onion, chopped finely
    2 cans chili with beans (15 oz each)
    1 teaspoon chili powder
    1/4 pound grated Cheddar cheese
    hot dog rolls
    Combine hot dogs, chopped onion, chili, and chili powder in the crockpot; stir well. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 9 hours, or high 2 to 4 hours. Just before serving add cheese and let it melt a little. Spoon sauce over hot dogs in rolls.
