Pennsylvania Dutch Cheese Pie

1 pint cottage cheese
1 cup sugar
4 tablespoons flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup light cream
4 eggs
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Mix together sugar. flour and salt. Set aside. Mash cheese in large mixing bowl with a fork and stir the cream in gradually, then blend in the flour mixture. Add egg yolks and vanilla and mix well. Fold in beaten egg whites. Pour
into a large pie pan lined with unbaked pastry. Bake at 300F. degrees for about an hour until firm.
