    1/2 cup Sugar
    1/2 teaspoon Baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon Salt
    2/3 cup Butter
1 large Egg -- lightly beaten
    6 tablespoons Sugar
    2 teaspoons All-purpose flour
    1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
5 1/2 cups Peeled and thinly sliced tart apples

Layer the apple mixture evenly atop the crust. Sprinkle with the remaining flour mixture.
