MARIGOLD HAIR COLOR

(for reddish highlights in blonde or light brown hair)
1/3 cup chopped yellow or orange marigold flowers
(No green parts please!)
1 cup red table wine
2 cups distilled water
Gently simmer flowers, water and wine in a non-metallic pot for 20 minutes. Remove from heat; when mixture is room temperature, strain, saving the liquid.
Wash and lightly condition your hair, rinse well. Apply the mixture as a final rinse, pouring it over the hair and catching it in a basin (bowl) and reapply the rinse several times until your hair is saturated with color. Allow hair to dry naturally in the sun, if possible. Repeat the rinsing process with subsequent shampoos until you achieve the desired shade.
NOTE: You don’t have to use the wine unless you want a stronger effect.
