Coconut meat, shredded
Water
1.25 oz Malibu rum
1.25 oz Vodka
Ice
First, make coconut milk. Simmer equal parts of coconut meat and water until it starts to froth. Strain the meat through a cheesecloth, making sure to squeeze every last drop out of it. Chill in refrigerator. Make as much coconut milk as possible and save for other recipes (or martinis!).
Shake Malibu rum, vodka,1.25 oz coconut milk, and ice into a martini or cocktail glass. Garnish with shaved coconut and nutmeg.
