    Root Beer

Boy, was this an experience! I recommend anyone to make this when you are having a big gathering! What fun!!! And, yummy!AND, just in case you are wondering....here's the way to make it!

Get a HUGE ice chest-cleaned out thoroughly.
Buy a package of the rootbeer concentrate (it calls for yeast, but, don't do it that way. I got this recipe from a gal at work that is delegated to make home=made Root Beer each year for their family reunions), 5 pounds of sugar, 5 gallons of water, and 10 pounds of DRY ICE. Put the sugar into the ice chest (remember---a BIG ice chest! Mine was too small)Pour the concentrate over it. Start pouring the water into it a gallon at a time, stirring as you got with a LONG utensil!

When you have the 5 gallons in the chest and it's pretty stirred up, add the ice a bit at a time if it's in chunks...
OH THE FUN!!!! It's like Halloween! The kids will love it!
Stir often, and it might take an hour or so for the dry ice to get all dissolved. It's supposed to be slushy, but, I screwed mine up. I intended to make a 1/2 batch and forgot and used the whole bag of sugar. It still tastes great!
You can freeze containers of it (BE SURE TO LEAVE ENOUGH ROOM FOR SOME EXPANSION--which I didn't in a few of my Gatorade bottles). You can also make popsicles with it!
Be sure to stock pile several plastic containers for leftovers. I used big cranberry juice bottles and smaller Gatorade bottles.....
