    Let all ingredients come to room temp, before mixing
    Always use bread flour - not regular flour, it'll rise better because of the type of wheat used in milling.
    Use butter or shortning - not margarine (who knows what any given margarine is made from). Never omit the salt, it acts with the yeast and sugar. For some reason Red Star yeast works better than others.
