Plantation Gingerbread

List of Ingredients
1 cup margarine
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 cup molasses
¾ cup hot water
2½ cups flour
1½ tsps. ginger
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
½ tsp. salt
Topping:
1 cup whipping cream
1-2 tbsps. powdered sugar
Recipe
In a mixing bowl, cream margarine and sugar for 3 minutes. Add egg and beat on low for 2 minutes.
Gradually add the molasses and hot water. Combine all dry
ingredients, and gradually stir them in.
Beat on low for 1 minute. Pour into greased 9x13" pan. Bake at 350° for 30-35 minutes. When cool, beat cream and powdered sugar, put on top.
