Applesauce Muffins

Ingredients
2 cups Cheerios® cereal
1 1/4 cups Gold Medal® all-purpose flour
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup applesauce
1/3 cup milk
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 egg
1/2 cup raisins, if desired
Instructions
1. Heat oven to 400°. Place paper baking cup in each of 12 regular-size
muffin cups, or grease bottoms only of muffin cups.
2. Crush cereal. Stir together cereal, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon,
baking powder and baking soda in large bowl. Stir in remaining
ingredients just until moistened. Divide batter evenly among muffin cups. Tip: To
easily crush cereal, place in plastic bag or between sheets of waxed
paper; crush with rolling pin.
3. Bake 18 to 22 minutes or until golden brown.
