    Aunt Saunny

    2/3 cups butter
    2 cups sugar
    3 eggs
    1 cup flour
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, melted
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1 cup chopped pecans

    Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs just until blended. Sift flour and salt; stir gradually into egg mixture. Blend in melted chocolate and vanilla; add pecans. Spread in well-greased 9-inch by 12-inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes. Cut into 1-1/2-inch squares when cool.
