Blend 2 1/2 Tbsp. flour and 1/2 cup milk. Cook flour mixture until it forms a thick paste and cool until it is lukewarm. Meanwhile cream 1/4 cup butter, 1/4 cup shortening and 1/2 cup sugar together and add
to lukewarmflour paste. Beat until fluffy. Add 1 tsp. vanilla and 1/2 cup chopped pecans. Blend in 1 cup powdered sugar (more if needed). Beat until fluffy. Frost the cooled cake and sprinkle chopped pecans on top."
