Chocolate Pudding Cake

l chocolate cake mix (2 layer)
6 oz. semisweet choc. chips
3 oz. vanilla pudding mix
l c. chocolate syrup
l2 oz. whipped topping; thawed
l/2 c. nuts, chopped
Recipe
Prepare cake according to package directions. Add chocolate chips to the batter. Bake as directed in a 9 x l3 baking pan. Remove cake from pan, cool and then crumble. Prepare pudding according to package directions. Place in bottom of 9 x l3 pan. Add l/2 cake crumbs to the top of pudding and gently press. Drizzle with 3/4 of the choc. syrup. Add remaining cake crumbs and gently press. Spread cake with thawed whipped topping. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Just before serving drizzle remaining choc. syrup and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
