Stawberry Cloud Cake

1 yellow cake mix
1 quart fresh sliced strawberries
1/2 cup of sugar this may vary according to how sweet the
strawberries are
1 cup water
2 pkg of french vanilla instant pudding mix
2 cups of heavy cream
1 t. vanilla
2 t. sugar
Make cake according to directions. While cake is baking, take strawberries and sugar and water and heat up gently to dissolve sugar and make a light syrup, I added the strawberries to the sugar mixture half way through so that they didn't overcook but still gave the flavor but don't cook long because you want strawberries to still be firm, as soon as cake is done baking gently poke holes all over warm cake and pour strawberries and syrup over it let sit while you make pudding using the "pie" recipe on box, smooth over top of strawberries and refriderate. Just before serving whip up cream,add vanilla and sugar as you are whipping cream (you can adjust sweetness in cream according to taste some like whip cream sweeter and others not) smooth over top and serve.
