Peppermint Dark Chocolate Bark

1 lb bittersweet chocolate, chopped (not unsweetened)
6 oz. peppermint candy or candycanes
Melt half of the chocolate in a double boiler until just melted. Fold in remaining chocolate and heat and stir until just melted.
Crush candy into small (but not tiny) pieces. Separate bigger pieces from smaller ones with a colander.
Line cookie sheet with foil and spread chocolate peppermint mixture evenly over it.
Chill until firm and break into pieces. Stack pieces on a serving plate.
*This can be made 2 days ahead. Store chilled in an airtight container.
