Strawberry Cheesecake

List of Ingredients
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 sticks margarine
1 c. pecans (finely chopped in
blender)
STRAWBERRY TOPPING (Or Strawberry Pie
Filling):
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. water
2 tsp. lemon juice
Few drops red food coloring
Recipe
First set of ingredients:
Mix well and press in bottom of 9 x 13 inch oblong glass pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. Let cool. Mix 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese with 1 cup powdered sugar. Mix well. Spread on cooled crust. Sprinkle on 1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans. Mix 2 packages Dream Whip according to directions. Spread over nuts.
STRAWBERRY TOPPING:
Mix dry ingredients. Add other ingredients and cook stirring all the time until clear and thick. Cool. Stir in 3 cups sliced strawberries. (Fresh peaches may also be substituted to make a peach dessert.) Pour cooled mixture over Dream Whip in 9 x 13 inch pan.
*May also use this filling in a baked pie crust topped with whipped cream for fresh strawberry pie.
