Cinnamon Tea Cakes

l/2 c. powdered sugar
l c. butter; softened
l tsp. vanilla
2 cups all purpose flour
l c. chopped or ground walnuts
l/2 tsp. cinnamon
l/8 tsp. salt
Coating
l/4 sugar
l tsp. cinnamon
l. Heat oven to 325. In large bowl, combine powdered sugar, butter
and vanilla. Beat until light and fluffy. Add flour, walnuts, l/2
tsp. cinnamon and salt; mix well.
2. Shape dough into l inch balls. Place l inch apart on ungreased
cookie sheet.
3. Bake at 325 for l4 to l6 minutes or until set but not brown.
Immediately remove from cookie sheets. Cool 3 minutes or until
slightly cooled.
4. Meanwhile, in a small bowl mix coating ingredients together.
Roll warm cookies in coating. Cool l5 minutes or until completely
cooled.
Makes 4 l/2 dozen
