SAUERKRAUT COOKIES

Ingredients:
1 stick margarine, softened
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup sauerkraut, drained and finely chopped
1 teaspoon vanilla
1-1/2 cups flour
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions:
Cream together margarine, sugar and egg. Stir in sauerkraut and vanilla. Sift together flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir into creamed mixture. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 7 to 10 minutes.
