1. Serving Pumpkin Soup: Use a hollowed out pumpkin shell to serve pumpkin soup or your first-course soup for Thanksgiving dinner. Warm a clean, hollowed out shell in the oven for 20 minutes prior to filling. Pour soup into pumpkin. Serve immediately.
2. Holiday Centerpiece: For a special holiday centerpiece, fill a copper bowl with fall leaves and surround the bowl with candies.
3. Brown Sugar: If brown sugar has already hardened, put your cheese grater to work. Grate only the amount you need.
4. Cooking Fresh Pumpkin: Cooking fresh pumpkin is a snap when you use a pressure cooker. Pumpkin color remains vibrant and flavor is superb. Just cut in half, remove seeds and stringy matter, cut into 1-inch cubes, peel, and proceed to cook according to manufacturer's directions.
