    "Nana" to Bubbe & Alex

    1/4 C flour
    1 C sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 egg yolks, well beaten
    1/4 lemon juice
    1 1/2 C milk
    1 tbsp. grated lemon rind
    3 egg whites, stiffly beaten


    Directions:
    Sift together flour, sugar and salt. Blend together egg yolks, fruit
    juice, milk and rind. Combine liquid and dry ingredients; beat until
    smooth. Fold in egg whites.

    Pour into greased 8X8X2 pan; place in larger pan with hot water about
    half way up the side of the smaller pan.

    Bake in slow oven 325F 45 minutes.

    Serve warm or cold, cut in squares.
