Mushroom Bacon Dip

6 slices bacon;
1/2 lb. sliced mushrooms
1 tsp. minced garlic
1 envelope onion soup mix
8 oz. cream cheese; softened
8 oz. sour cream
Add mushrooms and garlic to 2 1/2 Tbsp. reserved bacon drippings. Microwave 2 minutes until mushrooms are tender. Add soup mix, cream cheese and pepper taste. Heat at MEDIUM power for 3 minutes until cheese melts, stirring often. Stir in sour cream and bacon. Cook another 3 minutes at MEDIUM power until heated through. Stir.
