Aunt Saunny
3 cups floor
½ lbs. Cream cheese
½ tea. Baking powder
½ packet of yeast or ½ yeast cake
3 egg yolks
1/2 lbs. Butter
pinch of salt
1 tea. Vanilla
Mix ingredients together first mixing moist, then adding the dry. Blend well. Keep in refrigerator over night. Roll on board spread with powdered sugar. Cut in squares, fill. Bake about 15 minutes or until light brown in 350 degree oven. (Bake 1 hour for large cakes.)
Nut Filling
1 lbs. Walnuts finely ground
1 tea. Melted butter
sugar and milk to taste
Mix well and fill.
Cheese Filling
1 block farmers cheese (1 lbs.)
3 oz. Cream cheese
pinch of salt
sugar to taste
1 yolk
1 tsp. Vanilla
white raisins optional
