    Notes:
This is a colorful treat. Kids love all of the bright colors.
    2 Tbs. oil
    1/2 C. popping corn
    1 1/2 C. sugar
    2 Tbs. butter
    1/2 C. water
    2-3 drops red food coloring
    2-3 drops green food coloring
    2-3 drops yellow food coloring

    Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Heat oil in a large pan and add popcorn. Cover and cook over a medium heat. Hold lid tightly, as you may need to shake the pan. Cook until all of the popping stops.Combine sugar, butter, and water in a small heavy pan. Stir over medium heat until the sugar has dissolved. Bring to a boil without stirring for five minutes. Place lid on pan so that any sugar crystals that are on the edge of the pan will go back into the mixture. Remove pan from stove and divide the syrup into three equal portions and place in small bowls. Add coloring to each bowl; stir until combined and no streaking is visible. Divide popcorn into three equal portions. Toss each colored syrup through a batch of popcorn until popcorn is well coated. Place popcorn onto a baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes or until popcorn has separated and crystallized. Place popcorn in a large bowl, toss to combine colors. This will keep in an airtight container for two days.
