Quick, Easy -N- Fast Baked Ziti Recipe

8 oz. ziti
1 pound lean ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, peeled and chopped
1 can (28 oz.) crushed tomatoes, undrained
1 can (16 oz.) tomato sauce
1 t. oregano
1 C. grated Mozzarella cheese
1/4 C. grated Parmesan cheese
2 T. dried parsley
Cook ziti in boiling, salted water according to package directions;
drain.
Lightly brown beef and onion in a saucepan. Pour off any excess fat.
Add garlic, tomatoes with can liquid, tomato sauce and oregano.
Simmer for 15 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350ºF.
Mix cooked ziti and sauce together in a 2-1/2-quart baking dish. Combine Mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses; sprinkle lightly over ziti mixture. Sprinkle with parsley.
Bake for 25 minutes or until lightly browned and bubbly.
Yield: 6 servings.
