Apple Cream Pie

1 c. half and half
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. flour
1 t. vanilla
1 t. cinnamon
dash of salt
4 c. thinly sliced tart apples
frozen 9 inch pie crust
Topping:
1/2 c. flour
1/2 stick butter (softened)
1/3 c. powdered sugar
Combine first 6 ingredients and pour over apples in an unbaked 9 inch pie crust. Mix topping ingredients together and sprinkle over apples. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes then turn down to 350 degrees and continue to bake for 45 to 50 minutes.
