1 1/2 cups raisins
3/4 cup white sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 1/2 cups boiling water
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg or cinnamon
Rinse raisins well with warm water. Combine with other ingredients. Cook and stir until raisins are plump. Cool slightly and pour into 8-inch pastry lined pie plate. Add top crust or lattice top. Bake at 350ºF until golden brown.
