    DUTCH BREAD PUDDING

    Aunt Saunny

    3 eggs, beaten
    2 tablespoons sugar
    3 cups milk
    4 cups bread, cubed
    2 tablespoons melted butter
    ½ teaspoon cinnamon
    ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
    ¼ cup raisins

    In a large mixing bowl, blend together the eggs, sugar and milk. In a second bowl, place the bread, butter, cinnamon and nutmeg. Then gently stir the milk mixture into the bread mixture. Add the raisins and gently fold with your hands until thoroughly mixed. Pour into a 1½ quart buttered casserole. Bake for 25 minutes in a preheated 350º oven.
    Serve hot
