    7-Layer Refrigerator Jello Salad

    Source of Recipe

    Aunt Saunny

    Recipe 1-

4 small pkg. Jell-O (different flavors and colors)
    1 pt. whipping cream
    1 pt. sour cream
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 envelopes unflavored gelatin

Dissolve each package of Jell-O separately in 1 1/2 cups boiling water. Dissolve 2 envelopes of unflavored gelatin in 1/2 cup cold water. Bring whipping cream and 1/2 cup sugar to boil; add dissolved gelatin, then the sour cream. In 9 x 13-inch Pyrex dish, pour the first dissolved Jell-O and place in refrigerator to set. When set, remove from refrigerator and carefully add 1/3 of cream mixture. Return to refrigerator to set. Then carefully add second flavor of jello. Return to refrigerator. Continue this procedure until all are used. You will then have 7 layers, four colored and three white ribbon layers.

Recipe is time consuming, but very easy, pretty and delicious. At Christmas, make it with two red and two green Jell-O. This, with the white stripes, makes it special for the holiday season.

    Recipe 2-

    Layer 1:
    1 pkg. black cherry jello
    3/4 c. boiling water
    3/4 c. cold water

    Layer 2:
    1 pkg. cherry jello
    1/2 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. cold water
    1/2 c. evaporated milk

    Layer 3:
    1 pkg. lime jello
    3/4 c. boiling water
    3/4 c. cold water

    Layer 4:
    1 pkg. lemon jello
    1/2 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. cold water
    1/2 c. evaporated milk

    Layer 5:
    1 pkg. orange jello
    3/4 c. boiling water
    3/4 c. cold water

    Layer 6:
    1 pkg. peach jello
    1/2 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. cold water
    1/2 c. evaporated milk

    Layer 7:
    strawberry jello
    3/4 c. boiling water
    3/4 c. cold water

Use a 3 ounce package gelatin in each layer. Mix layer one and pour in a 9 x 13-inch pan to set. Repeat all layers. Let one set first before pouring next one on. Takes about 30 minutes for each to set. Top with nondairy whipped cream. Cut into squares to serve. Serves 18 to 24.

Let each layer set exactly 30 minutes. Any longer, the layers will separate. Make sure the pan is on a level surface at all times.
