2 Fresh artichokes *
Salad Dressing
1/2 Lemon
1 Bay leaf
Salt
Pepper
Recipe
* Artichokes should have stems, top 1" of cone, tough bottom leaves and leaf tips trimmed.
Place artichokes in a large pot and add enough water to cover artichokes halfway. Add lemon, bay leaf and salt. Heat to boiling over medium high heat. Reduce heat and cook covered until bottoms are tender when pierced with a knife, about 20 minutes. Drain Well.
Serve with a small dish of salad dressing for dipping leaves and heart.
