    List of Ingredients




    1 cup flour
    3/4 cup oatmeal
    1/2 cup melted shortening
    1 tsp cinnamon
    1 cup packed brown sugar
    1 cup water
    2 TBS cornstarch
    1 cup sugar
    1 tsp vanilla
    4 cups chopped rhubarb

    Recipe



    Cook together water, cornstarch, sugar (not brown) and vanilla until thick, stirring constantly.Mix flour, oatmeal, shortening, cinnamon and brown sugar together and press half of this mixture into bottom of a 9-inch square pan that has been greased.Put chopped rhubarb over crust in pan. Pour cooked mixture rhubarb and sprinkle with remaining crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
