Lowell Thomas' Crabmeat Stuffed Squash

1/2 cup butter
4 acorn squash (small size)
1/4 cup chopped onion
3 cups 1/2-inch soft bread crumbs 1 cup or 1 can (6 1/2 oz) crabmeat, flaked
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 egg, beaten
Recipe
Cut squash in half, remove seeds. Melt 1/4 cup cutter in baking pan. Place squash, skin side up, in pan and bake for 30 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
Melt remaining butter in a skillet and saute' the onion in this until tender. Combine bread crumbs and crabmeat. Add onion, butter, lemon juice and beaten egg. Mix well.
Remove squash, turn, brush with butter and fill with the mixture. Bake another 30 minutes. 8 portions.
