Pacific Rim Honey-Barbecued Fish

I used this recipe on a crew and I was hounded for the recipe so they could bring it home with them.

List of Ingredients
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 3 3/4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 3/4 tablespoons lime juice
- 3 3/4 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 cup sesame seed oil
- 1/4 cup seseme seeds
- 3 3/4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 7/8 jalapeño pepper, seeded and minced
- 1 7/8 teaspoons minced fresh gingerroot
- 7 1/2 4-ounce Salmon Steaks or other firm white fish (Swordfish etc.)
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients except salmon in small bowl; mix well. Place fish in shallow baking dish; pour marinade over fish. Cover and refrigerate 1 hour.
- Remove fish from marinade. Grill over medium-hot coals or broil fish about 10 minutes per inch of thickness or until fish turns opaque and flakes easily when tested with fork.
- Note: With the remaining marinade, add teriyaki sauce and cornstarch and heat to the right consistancy. Serve with the fish
