Korean Barbecued Beef

This is probably the most popular Korean meat dish. The meat is tenderized by a soy sauce and sesame oil marinade.

List of Ingredients
- 1 pound beef boneless top loin or sirloin steak
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons sesame or vegetable oil,sesame oil or peanut oil
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 3 green onions, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
Instructions
- Trim fat from beef steak. Cut beef diagonally across grain into 1/8-inch slices. (Beef is easier to cut if partially frozen, about 1 1/2 hours.)
- Mix remaining ingredients in medium glass or plastic bowl.
- Stir in beef until well coated. Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes. Drain beef. Heat wok or 10-inch skillet over medium heat until hot. Add beef; stir-fry 2 to 3 minutes or until brown. Serve beef with hot cooked rice if desired.
