- Jerk Seasoning:
- 1 tablespoon onion, minced
- 1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
- 2 teaspoons crushed thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne
- Jerk Snapper Ingred.
- 4 tablespoons Dry Jerk Seasoning
- dash hot pepper sauce
- 8 tablespoons olive oil or butter or combination
- 8 10 ounce snapper fillets
Instructions
- Jerk Seasoning: Mix together dried minced onion, onion powder, crushed thyme, salt, ground allspice, ground nutmeg, ground cinnamon, sugar, black pepper, and cayenne.
- Broiled Jerk Snapper :Blend the jerk seasoning, pepper sauce, and oil. Cover the fish with the mix, being careful to coat the fillet all over.
- Place in a pan and broil until the fish flakes when tested with a fork.
