Hot Dog Casserole

List of Ingredients
- 1 tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 8-oz. can tomato sauce
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder (or fresh garlic added with onion & peppers)
- 1 3-oz. pkg. cream cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 8 hot dogs, cut in half-inch slices or smaller
- 2 cups cooked noodles
- 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Saute onion & green pepper in butter; add tomato sauce & garlic powder.
- Blend together cream cheese & sour cream until smooth & stir into sauce; add sliced hot dogs.
- Place drained noodles in bottom of casserole dish; spoon hot dog mixture on top & sprinkle with grated cheddar cheese.
- Heat at 350F for about 20-30 minutes, or until mixture is bubbly & cheese is melted.
- (or heat the sauce to serving temperature, and just stir the whole thing together in an oven-proof serving dish, top with grated cheese & run under the broiler for about 3 minutes until cheese melts.)
