Moist Bread Stuffing

List of Ingredients
- 1½ cups boiling water
- ½ - ¾ cup butter
- 1/2 cup minced onion
- 2 tbsp. snipped parsley
- 2 tbsp. celery
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. poultry seasoning
- 1½ tsp. salt
- 2 tbsp. prepared mustard
- 12 cups soft bread crumbs (about one 1# loaf, cubed)
Instructions
- Combine water, butter, onion, parsley, celery, pepper, poultry seasoning, salt and mustard; simmer 5 minutes.
- Pour over bread cubes and toss very gently & lightly.
- Stuff body cavity of 10 - 12 pound turkey and roast bird immediately.
- May also be baked in a pan for 30 minutes at 350°.
Final Comments
I was leery of this when I first read the recipe, but at first bite it became my all-time favorite. I do add more chopped celery for texture.
