    Moist Bread Stuffing

    List of Ingredients


    • 1½ cups boiling water
    • ½ - ¾ cup butter
    • 1/2 cup minced onion
    • 2 tbsp. snipped parsley
    • 2 tbsp. celery
    • 1/2 tsp. pepper
    • 1 tsp. poultry seasoning
    • 1½ tsp. salt
    • 2 tbsp. prepared mustard
    • 12 cups soft bread crumbs (about one 1# loaf, cubed)


    Instructions


    1. Combine water, butter, onion, parsley, celery, pepper, poultry seasoning, salt and mustard; simmer 5 minutes.

    2. Pour over bread cubes and toss very gently & lightly.

    3. Stuff body cavity of 10 - 12 pound turkey and roast bird immediately.

    4. May also be baked in a pan for 30 minutes at 350°.



    Final Comments


    I was leery of this when I first read the recipe, but at first bite it became my all-time favorite. I do add more chopped celery for texture.
