List of Ingredients
- CRUST:
- 3/4 cup butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1-1/2 cup flour
- ----------
- FILLING:
- 10 oz. pkg white chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup milk or cream
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- fruit of choice
- ----------
- GLAZE:
- 6 tbsp. sugar
- 4-1/2 tsp. cornstarch
- 3/4 cup pineapple juice
- 3/4 tsp. lemon juice
Instructions
- Crust:Beat butter and sugar together until light and fluffy; blend in flour.
- Press mixture on bottom and up the sides of a 12" pizza pan.
- Bake 20-25 minutes in 300F oven until lightly browned.
- Cool completely.
- Filling:Melt chips & cream together until smooth (microwave works best); beat in cream cheese.
- Cool slightly, spread over cooled crust, cover and chill.
- Glaze:Combine ingredients and cook over medium heat until thickened; cool completely.
- Arrange fruit slices of your choice (grapes, bananas, maraschinos, strawberries, kiwis, plums, pineapple tidbits, etc.) overlapping to cover cream cheese filling.
- Don't skimp on the fruit.
- Drizzle pineapple glaze over fruit; chill before serving.
Final Comments
Note: Using soft margarine for the crust will work, but using real butter makes it much more tender and it browns much better too.
