Chocolate Pudding Cake

List of Ingredients
- CAKE:
- 1 cup flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp. baking cocoa
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- ----------
- PUDDING:
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 4 tbsp. baking cocoa
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1-3/4 cups boiling water
Instructions
- Combine flour, sugar, 2 tbsp. cocoa, baking powder & salt; stir in milk, oil & vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour in ungreased 9" square pan.
- Combine brown sugar, 4 tbsp. cocoa & salt; sprinkle evenly over cake batter.
- Pour boiling water over all - DO NOT STIR!
- Bake at 350F for 35-40 minutes.
- Allow to set a short while before serving, but serve warm.
- Top with whipped cream or ice cream if desired.
