Sweet and Sour Sauce from scratch





List of Ingredients



• 3/4 cup pineapple juice
  
• 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  
• 3-4 tbsp. brown sugar
  
• 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
  
• 1 tbsp. soy sauce
  
• 1/2 tsp. white pepper
  
• cornstarch as needed - about 2 tsp.
  






Instructions



1. Combine first six ingredients & bring to boiling.
   
2. Mix cornstarch with small amount of water until smooth; whisk it into boiling mixture.
   
3. Cook over medium heat 1 - 2 minutes.
   






Final Comments


Use as you would any commercial sweet & sour sauce.
