Asparagus Chicken

List of Ingredients
- 6 boneless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 4 tsp. butter or margarine
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1-1/2 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 cup canned milk
- 1/2 tsp. tabasco sauce
- 1 pound asparagus, diced
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup fresh grated parmesan
Instructions
- Brown the chicken in oil & butter, remove from skillet.
- Add flour and salt to drippings, blending until smooth; cook for 2-3 minutes over medium heat.
- Stir in chicken broth and cook until thick. Remove from heat; add milk and tabasco.
- Place diced asparagus in the bottom of a 9x13" casserole.
- Arrange the chicken pieces on top of the asparagus.
- Pour sauce over the chicken and asparagus; sprinkle with cheese.
- Bake at 350F for 45 minutes.
