List of Ingredients
1 lb Northern Beans
1 (12 oz) bottle chili sauce
Diced Onion to taste
Bacon Pieces to taste
1 Cup Brown Sugar Recipe
Soak 1 lb died beans overnight, then cook until tender about 1/2 hour. Drain half of the water off or put 1 lb dried beans into a large kettle ; cover generously with water. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and let stand until they double in size, about 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and cook until the skins burst when you blow on them. Drain half the water off. Add 1 bottle of chili sauce, diced onion, bacon pieces and 1 cup of brown sugar. Put in covered casserole dish and bake for 3-4 hours at 350F or put them in crock pot on low for 14 hours. These Freeze Great.
