List of Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1/4 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
1/4 cup water
1 egg, slightly beaten
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup dry white wine
2 cups thinly sliced onions
2 cups thinly sliced mushrooms
1 8oz can tomato sauce
1/2 tsp basil
In a mixing bowl combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, water, egg, salt and pepper to taste and mix well. Shape the meat into 4 oval size patties. Place into the bottom of a 1 1/2 quart baking dish, set aside.
In a skillet heat the white wine and saute the onions and mushrooms until tender. Add the tomato sauce and basil and blend throughly.
Spoon the tomato mixture over the hamburger patties.
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until the meat is done.
