    Pillsbury Cookbook of Family Favorites 1977

    Just thinking about the sweet-tart flavor of these green beans makes your mouth water.

    List of Ingredients





    10 oz pkg frozen green beans
    1 med onion thinly sliced
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp msg
    dash of pepper
    2 TBSP Cornstarch
    1/2 cup water
    2 TBSP cider vinegar
    1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar

    Cook green beans, just until they can be seperated. Drain and stir in onion, salt, msg and pepper.

    IN A SEPERATE BOWL: Dissolve cornstarch in water; stir in vinegar and brown sugar. Heat to boiling over low heat, stirring occasionally. Boil and stir 1 minute.

    Add cornstarch mixture to beans; simmer 2 minutes longer .

    4 servings.
