12 medium boiled beets
Butter
½ Cup orange juice
1 Tbsp cornstarch
½ tsp salt
1/8 tsp peppr
2 Tbsp sugar
1 Tbsp lemon juice

Peel and thinly slice the beets. Arrange the slices in a buttered baking dish and over them pour the orange juice mixed with the cornstarch, salt, pepper, sugar and lemon juice. Dot the beats generously with butter and bake, tightly covered, in preheated oven 400º for ½ hour, stir them once or twice.
